West meets East

West meets East
Week9 Today I had the reading English strategies class in the morning. The teacher taught me about " West meets East." When I heard the topic, I was interested. The class started. She gave us to look at the powerpoint for reaching the lesson and taught the cultures between the west and east. I was excited so much because I was allover about the west meets east cultures. And then she gave to do pre-reading1 and pre-reading2 (Discuss the questions with a partner.) Next, She gave us to read the story that was the "Asianization" of the United States.
The Hong Kong movie Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.
From The US
From India

I think I found difficult words, phrases and main idea. when I had problems, I will try to guess words meaning, find the reference, and summary the main idea but I cannot understand this story and find the main idea. I am going to solve the problems are reading it a few time and searching the words on dictionary.cambridge.org, and opened dictionary on my cell phone etc. If I was unfamiliar some words or some phrases and try to find the main idea, I will note them in my handout. I used skimming, scanning, finding the main idea, and checking the answers of "Asianization of the United states" in reading.
When we had already done exercise finish, the master who gave corrective feedback for us. My attitudes toward this lesson is useful for all students. It can be applied to the other course or lesson for understanding in reading each of stories.

                                          Thank you for reading
